Check out the “Healed on the Inside” cover

I am excited to get “Healed on the Inside” out into the wild. My cancer battle has been one of the most brutal fights of my life, and I’m hopeful that the things I’ve learned along the way will help other people. If I can use my experience and words to help one person draw closer to God and get through their hard times, my journey will have been worth it.

I have worked very hard on “Healed on the Inside.” In addition to my four surgeries in 2023 and my immunotherapy sessions, scans, etc., I’ve continued working full-time and trying to be the best dad and husband I can be. So much of my writing happens late at night, after work, and during family time.

It’s been 23 years since my last book, “War on the Floor,” was published, and I’d forgotten how hard it is to write a book. I’m finishing up the third and final draft right now. At this point, I’m mostly just incorporating my editor’s notes (thanks, Wes Eby) for making me look like a better writer than I am. I appreciate you.

Thanks, as well, to Jackson Tejada for this excellent cover design. I came up with the concept, and my wife, Jeanette, made the photo of the scars and tattoos on my back. I made the family picture on the back cover. Jackson did all the hard work on the cover, though, taking my ideas and making sense of them.
