A small book release party

Since we're so new to Central Florida, we did not hold a book release party for Healed on the Inside. We don't know enough people to ask a venue to set aside time for me to come and possibly sell and sign books. Instead, I have focused on garnering media placements, my email list, etc.

I've done well with this approach. Healed on the Inside has climbed as high as #3 on an Amazon best-seller list, and I get orders on my website regularly for personalized copies. The book is selling slowly and steadily, and I'm receiving beautiful feedback for my work. The blood, sweat, and tears it took to pen Healed on the Inside were worth it.

The book IS showing people how great God's love is, and that's the ultimate goal.

Still, book signings are fun. It's a chance to be recognized as an author. Who doesn't want that?

So, when my friend Jackson told me his mom purchased five copies of Healed on the Inside (one for herself and others for family members) and asked if I'd go to her house to sign them, I jumped at the opportunity. It would be like a small book release party.

On Saturday, JJ and I took some personalized books to the post office and headed to meet Jackson's mom, Maria. JJ sat right by me as I signed each book and added small notes of gratitude.

Jackson, Maria, her husband Angel, JJ, and I held hands and prayed over coffee and cheesecake, and we talked a lot about God's grace. It was a fabulous 45 minutes!

Thanks, Maria, for supporting my work and helping JJ and me celebrate Healed on the Inside. I am so appreciative.
