A review from a loved one
Do other writers value book reviews from loved ones more or less than reviews from strangers?
A loved one is more inclined to say something nice about your work. A stranger has no obligation (perceived or actual) to be kind. But does that lessen the significance of the words from a loved one? They still have to take the time to read your book, think about how it impacted them, and leave a review online. That's all got value, right?
I LOVE when my family members and/or friends leave reviews on Amazon for me. It means so much to me. It means they understand how powerful reviews are. They provide me with needed feedback that helps me feel like the hundreds of hours I invested into my story were worth it. They also tell me that that person understands that I'm ultimately trying to sell books and that positive reviews can help make that happen.
So, thank you to everyone who has left a Healed on the Inside review so far. I appreciate it.
And to my Aunt Barb, I'm giving an extra special thanks. You were always there for me as a kid. I've never forgotten that. And, as a fellow cancer survivor, I leaned on you during my cancer journey. Thank you for that love and support. Finally, thank you for your five-star review! I love it!
5.0 out of 5 stars A must Read for Cancer Survivors, Caregivers and Families

I’ll start by just saying Wow! Jeff is able to put into words what so many Cancer patients and families go through.
I’m not just saying that because I’m his Aunt, I’m saying it as a Cancer Survivor that has been in remission for almost
10 years. It doesn’t matter if it’s a short time or years, every time a scan, test is scheduled, it all comes flooding back.
You find yourself asking God to please give me another good outcome. Jeff’s ability to give honest words to everything
is a gift and God truly has Healed him from the inside, just as JJ told him!
So very proud of you for this book! I read it in a day plus 1 hour more the next day. American Cancer defines a Survivor from the day you are diagnosed!
Love you,
Aunt Barb
