Happy Mother’s Day!

It takes a special person to be a mother.

The mother I hold in the highest regard is one who consistently places the needs of others before her own. She willingly sacrifices so that her family can have what they need. She tirelessly works, often to the point of exhaustion, to ensure that others are spared from fatigue.

I’m talking about my wife, Jeanette.

What I admire most about Jeanette is her passionate approach to motherhood. Our children are truly fortunate to have her. She showers our three kids with love every single day. She is their biggest supporter, and when the situation calls for it, she can be as protective as a mama bear. They can confide in her about anything; she always strives to understand and offer support. If they need her assistance, she goes above and beyond, often providing more help than they initially requested.

Jeanette’s maternal instincts have also come in handy during my cancer battle. She has changed my bandages and cleaned out my drain. She has held my elbow as I struggled up and down stairs without ever making me feel like an inconvenience. She has done more than her share of work around the house to make up for the things I couldn’t do. She has talked me off the ledge on my bad days and cheered with me on my good days.

So, thank you to all the moms who put their families first and do their best to raise happy, productive, God-loving children. I hope you have a wonderful day!
